Hypoallergenic, soft as cashmere, and warmer, lighter and stronger than wool, alpaca fiber comes in more natural colors than any other fiber-producing animal -- approximately 22 basic colors, with many variations possible through color blending. Alpaca fleece was historically reserved for Incan royalty, but is now enjoyed by fiber artists and consumers around the world.
